Virus Bulletin 100% Awards - April 2010

ESET has captured a record 61st VB100 award from Virus Bulletin April's report focused on the Windows XP platform. A record 60 products were submitted for testing, resulting in 40 VB100 awards. Companies whose product didn't pass included Kaspersky, Microsoft, Norman and Sunbelt.

Virus Bulletin is an independent testing organization staffed by full time professional antivirus experts . . . widely recognized within the antivirus industry for its rigorous comparative tests focusing on virus detection rates, scanning speed, and the generation of false positives. To earn a VB100 Award an antivirus product must detect all current "In the Wild" viruses and not produce any false positives.

Beware of large, bloated internet security suites that consume hundreds of megabytes on your computer. Typically these are the result of vendors acquiring other products and bundling them together.

Great protection doesn't have to slow down your computer. NOD32 continually wins awards for the fastest performance of any antivirus application, on average 3 to 34 times faster than the competition (source: Virus Bulletin). Switch to NOD32 and upgrade your computer's performance.
